Responsibilities:

• General warehouse and manufacturing functions
• Helps maintain a professional and organized workspace
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Supports, encourages and complies with all company policies and procedures including Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety
• Use internal warehouse management system to track daily activities such as scanning movement of finished goods

Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to read/write English
• Ability to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Ability to follow direction from a device
• Must be able to lift up to 50LBS - 60LBS continuously
• Must have physical mobility to stand/walk during 8-hour shift
• Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment

Piping Rock Health Products in Farmingdale, NY is searching for an Energetic and hands on Warehouse supervisor Distribution center supervisor to join our growing team. The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehouse functions distribution center functions and must adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and efficiency of the operation.

In response to the COVID 19 pandemic, Piping Rock in its ongoing commitment to associates, has added new, comprehensive safety precautions in all of its facilities. Associate safety is our top priority.

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the distribution center functions and must adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and efficiency of the operation.

Responsibilities:

• Identify any potential safety hazards and address them immediately
• Motivate all associates, and create a warm and welcoming environment
• Be fully trained on all tasks associated with the warehouse
• Constantly evaluate best methods and work through appropriate channels to improve operations
• Supervises and coordinates activities of associates engaged in displays, picking, packing, receiving, and shipping
• Assure accurate receipt of all POs and Transfers within 24 hours of delivery
• Maintain an accurate inventory count at all times
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs, and cGMPs guidelines
• Assists with all job functions in the Warehouse
• Analyze work orders to ensure efficient task assignment of the entire team
• Identify root cause of issues such as inventory shortages, equipment issues, system inefficiencies and address to fix
• Assist in identifying areas for training and development of associates to grow the entire teams capabilities
• Maintain full cGMP, Kosher, Organic operations Compliance
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Oversees and takes responsibility for warehouse operations in absence of Management
• Obtain and train MHE certifications
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must comply with cGMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
• Must have 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment and at least 1 year leading associates
• Must be able to read/write English
• Must be available for overtime when needed
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift and lift up to 25lbs
• Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and multi-task
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment
